The Alaska Native Women’s Resource Center (AKNWRC) issues a request for proposals (RFP) to sub-grant funds received for the Family Violence Prevention & Services Support for Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault for Culturally Specific Populations Grant Program through the American Rescue Plan. The AKNWRC has a preference required by the FVPSA funding agency to supplement funding for culturally specific community-based sexual assault and domestic violence organizations; urban Indian organizations, and LGBTQ + two — spirited organizations. All Alaska based service providers serving Alaska Native survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence are encouraged to apply if the majority of their clients served are AN and they want to develop or improve their culturally specific services for AN survivors. Scoring criteria is available upon request.

AKNWRC is soliciting proposals from eligible Alaska and community-based nonprofits described above that provide culturally specific activities/services for Alaska Native survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence to address emergent needs resulting from public health concerns as well as promote strategic partnership development and collaboration in response to public health concerns for Alaska Native survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Each applicant must include in their proposal a sustainability plan for continuing culturally specific services for Alaska Native survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence after the end of this project.

Project Period & Budget

The project period for this sub-award is for 36-months to commence by September 1, 2022, to end no later than August 31, 2025. AKNWRC anticipates issuing up to 12 subawards totaling up to $4,207,500 in total funding ranging between an estimated $150,000 to $1,500,000 each.

Sub-recipients will be required to provide AKNWRC with regular financial and programmatic reports on a monthly basis.
