Tasha Hotch
Advocacy Center Lead Trainer
Tasha Hotch | Jáx Kóoste, is Tlingit (Raven. Frog) from the Chilkat Indian Village, Klukwan. She holds a BS in Technical Management, MBA with a focus in Project Management and a Certificate in Alaska Native Executive Leadership. She joins AKNWRC as the Advocacy Center Lead Trainer.
Tasha has worked as an Associate Trainer at ANTHC in their human resources department and continued training from mentorships, formal training as a clinical instructor with UAF, and as a Program Manager in the Community Health Aide Program.
Tasha has done a variety of advocacy: community-based, municipal level, state-based, and national for all types of public safety, education, and areas of equity. Tasha has been volunteering with vulnerable communities for more than 25 years by advocating for access to services, food security, funding for programs, housing, and safety.
Tasha has also served as a delegate for Central Council Tlingit and Haida for the last 10 years. Through tribal government, she has been able to put forward resolutions that her tribe could focus on to help create stronger communities for tribal citizens.
Tasha still travels home to her village every year to help her family as they harvest fish in late summer. She currently resides in Anchorage with her son Patrick and her two dogs Bella and Coco. Her hobbies include cooking, playing cards, fantasy football, and volunteering in her community.
