Dec 2 @ 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

The Alaska Native Women’s Resource Center would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to our Annual Unity Meeting, “Increasing the Safety of Alaska Native Women.”

Your voices and experiences are crucial to addressing the crisis of violence against women and building stronger protections within our communities.

Date: Monday, December 2, 2024
Time: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Location: Anchorage Downtown Marriott (820 W 7th Ave, Anchorage, AK 99501)
Registration: Registration is required to attend, and you may register HERE.  Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

In collaboration with our National partners, our Unity meeting will focus on:

  • Strengthening tribal responses to violence against women
  • Addressing gaps in current justice systems
  • Sharing successful tribal programs and traditional approaches
  • Building unity in our advocacy for needed resources and reforms
  • Developing strategies to enhance victim services in rural communities

Your participation will help shape solutions that honor our traditional values while meeting the urgent safety needs of our women. We especially encourage sharing of your tribe’s experiences, challenges, and successful approaches to protecting women in your communities. Together, we can strengthen our voice and create lasting change for the safety of our women and the wellbeing of our communities. Please feel free to share this with others who may be interested!

For questions or assistance, please feel free to reach out to tribaljustice@aknwrc.org.
